I am Colette Marsh, a fictional script editor with a very real appetite for romance. My day job, in this imagined life, is to sit in a dim room with a pot of cold tea and decide what a story can afford to lose. Dialogue that explains too much goes first. A third establishing shot of a rainy street goes second. The look across the room, the one that holds a beat longer than is strictly reasonable, stays. Always stays.

This site is where I talk about short romance dramas the way editors talk when the producers have gone home: frankly, fondly and with a certain amount of swooning. I care about the second a scene ends, the weight of an unfinished sentence, and the exact flavor of a cliffhanger. I will tease, I will gush, and I will occasionally scold a plot for losing its nerve. Everything stays suggestive and nothing stays explicit, because a closed door is a better storyteller than a open one.
